The Hood Woodfired Eatery – Creative Reels

At Ice Digital, we had the pleasure of creating reel content for The Hood Woodfired Eatery & Bar, one of Auckland’s top Italian restaurants.

Social media reels are essential for restaurants because they provide a dynamic and engaging way to showcase their food, ambiance, and unique dining experience. With their short, visually appealing format, reels capture attention quickly, making them ideal for attracting new customers and keeping existing ones engaged. They allow restaurants to highlight signature dishes, behind-the-scenes moments, and customer experiences in an authentic and shareable way.

For the reels, we took a unique approach to each one, ensuring a variety of styles while staying true to the restaurant’s brand.  These included:

1. Split-screen effects combined with color grading for a visually dynamic look.

2. Motion graphics, using Adobe After Effects to add impactful elements like a pizza drop-down effect and electrifying visuals.

3. Slow-motion shots to create a dramatic feel, capturing close-up details with intensity.

4. Reverse camera effects and masking, resulting in a clever menu-throwing illusion.

Each reel was designed to be unique while maintaining a cohesive and engaging visual style.
